We, Kotata, have many characteristics, playful, restless, lively, cute, naughty and you will definitely recognise us at concerts by our red dresses and shirts with matching polka dot bow ties.
We are mainly first and second grade pupils from basic school though there are a few nursery school children.
We meet twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays in our choir classroom from 1:30pm to 2:30pm and our conductor is Kamila Hajkova.
Do you know what we look forward to most during the year? To concerts. We really like them and we perform not only for our parents, grandparents, but also for senior citizens, in fairs and exhibitions and sometimes we take part in a competition. We have two training camps , one in spring and one in autumn and as well as working we also enjoy ourselves playing many games.
Do you want to know what our rehearsals look like? There is always a warm up by talking, breathing and singing and also practising tongue-twisters. We sing folk and contemporary songs, dance songs and songs from fairy-tales. We also dance, do drama, musical plays, conduct and sometimes we draw pictures. Everything is great. If you want to see it, come to visit us and see for yourself. You are always welcome.
